When I first started making beads in my office, it used to scare the crap out of my husband to see me hunched over a 1400 degree torch with my welding goggles on. He used to come running every time a piece of hot molten glass would go flying and I would yell “OUCH”. Now, he only comes running when I yell, “Quick, I need the fire extinguisher!” When I am working at my real job (Human Resources) I have to pick the bits of glass out of my keyboard! You get the picture.

The pieces are a labour of love, borne from the very first glass bead making lesson I took while on vacation on the Washington coast. After hundreds of trips to Michael’s Crafts and High Country Stained Glass (And of course - my favourite store - Corbeeta.com !), my husband has said “Enough Already! You need to recoup some of the hundreds of dollars you’ve spent on supplies!” And so Shine Glow was born! I create custom pieces of jewellery with my own hand made glass beads, Swarovski crystals, fresh water pearls, sterling silver findings and semi-precious stones. The beads can come in any colour combination you like. I also create 99.9% genuine silver pendants and earrings, using an incredible product called precious metal clay. Each piece is one of a kind.
